Apple Cider Syrup

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup sugar
4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup apple juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons margarine

DIRECTIONS
  1. Stir sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a small saucepan.
  2. Add apple juice and lemon juice.
  3. Cook and stir the mixture over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the margarine until melted.

Serve in a lidded pitcher.

Makes about 1 1/3 cups.
